WHAT FREEDOM MEANS TO YOU?
After three decades, on this day in 1947, Mahatma Gandhi and the Indian independence movement achieved the goal of establishing a free and independent India.
Anything worthwhile in life takes:
— TIME
— DEDICATION
— WILL POWER
— PERSISTENCE
— SACRIFICE.
However, in the end, it is worth it.
What is the meaning of FREEDOM to you at a personal level?
After all, it is a choice and doesn’t come free.
My grandparents moved out of Punjab (now part of Pakistan) and migrated to India to start from zero. As a kid, while growing up, I heard many terrifying stories about how people helped each other in those difficult times.
Different people have different definitions of Freedom, that depends and largely based on the order of Individual’s priority:
~ professionals at work — Freedom could be express themselves and growth opportunity
~ business professionals — Freedom could be low inventory, high cash flow, profits
~ mother — Freedom could be a healthy family
~ for me — Freedom means if I can teach someone skills that can change lives around that individuals.
That’s also a de-stressing moment for me.
“In times of stress, the best thing we can do for each other is to listen with our ears and our hearts and to be assured that our questions are just as important as our answers.”
― Fred Rogers, The World According to Mister Rogers: Important Things to Remember
The best way I can describe,
when you’re stressed out from working on something you love, it’s called PASSION.
If you have one, Lucky you!
To work daily towards my passion — that to me, is Freedom.
My parents and mentors showed me the way — My immense gratitude to all of them on India’s 75th Independence Day.
LEARN — DO — SHARE and remember important things take time.
